
RiverKings home playoff dates announced

Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Memphis RiverKings are returning to the Central Hockey League playoffs and, even though the opponent has not been determined yet, the dates and times of the home games have been set. The RiverKings are locked in at the number three seed in the Northern Conference and will have the home ice advantage. Their opponent will be the fourth seeded team, which will be either the Oklahoma City Blazers or the Youngstown Steelhounds.
RiverKings playoff tickets go on sale for the first time tomorrow (Friday) at noon at the DeSoto Civic Center Box Office and through all TicketMaster outlets.
If the RiverKings play the Blazers, the RiverKings would play at home on Friday, March 30 and Sunday, April 1 for sure and, if necessary, on Friday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 10.
If the opponent is Youngstown, the RiverKings would host the Steelhounds on Friday, March 30 and Sunday, April 1for sure and, if necessary, Tuesday, April 10 and Wednesday, April 11.
All games except the Sunday dates will start at 7:05. The game scheduled for Sunday in each scenario will face-off at 4 pm.
All rounds of the CHL playoffs will best of seven. The first round in each conference, North and South, will consist of the first seed playing the sixth seed, the second seed meeting the fifth seed and the third seed facing the fourth seed. The three first round winners will advance to the Conference Semis along with highest seeded team among the first round losers.
