Mudbugs Receive League Honors

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs today announced that goaltender John DeCaro has been named to the 2006-2007 All-CHL team. Both DeCaro and forward Cam Abbott were also selected as members of the 2006-2007 All Rookie Team as well.

DeCaro, a native of Seattle, Washington, leads all CHL goaltenders with a 2.27 goals-against average and .929 save percentage. He's backstopped his way to a record of 22-7-4 for the Northeast Division Champion Mudbugs.

Abbott, a native of Sarnia, Ontario, leads all rookies in goals with 30. His goal streak of 11 goals in seven games is a CHL season high. Abbott also leads all rookies with 14 power play goals. Abbott has managed all these feats in only 42 games played.

The All-CHL and All-Rookie Teams were determined through polling of all 17 CHL Head Coaches.
