THE MATCH UP

The RiverKings and Blazers close out their season series with a game that could be a playoff first round preview. While the RiverKings are set at the number three seed in the upcoming Northern Conference playoffs, the Blazers are in a race with Youngstown for the fourth seed. The Blazers are tied with the Steelhounds at 74 points with each team having three games left on their schedule. Both the RiverKings and Blazers have been busy to wrap up the season. The RiverKings are in the midst of playing seven games in the final 10 days of the season while the Blazers are playing seven games in final nine days. Oklahoma City finishes the season with a home-and-home two game set with Wichita this Friday and Saturday. The Blazers are 2-6-1 in their last nine but have won two of their last three. The RiverKings have lost the last two and are 4-2-1 in their last seven games. In the season series, the RiverKings are 5-1-1, 2-1-0 at OKC. All-time, the RiverKings are 36-64-8, 11-38-5 at OKC. Tonight's game was originally scheduled for January 13, but was postponed due to an ice storm in Oklahoma that weekend.
