Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, Miss.—It's not enough for RiverKings fans to squash Mudbugs at home. They will be looking for roadkill when a group of fans takes a bus to Bossier on Jan. 17.

The hockey-hungry group will leave the DeSoto Civic Center at 8 a.m. on Saturday and return Sunday at 4 p.m. Cost is $80 for a double occupancy and $90 for a single. The ‘Kings vs. ‘Bugs contest will be at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, and the group will stat at the Ramada Inn & Conference Center in Bossier.

"It should be a really fun trip," RiverKings Community Relations Director Michael Rice said. "With the Mudbugs being our fierce rivals, it will be really nice to take a big group and cheer on the RiverKings."

The $80-$90 price includes the bus ride, game ticket and hotel stay. There is a non-refundable $40 deposit required, and trip organizers can take up to 52 fans. The first 52 fans who turn their deposit in will receive a slot.

Fans who are making separate travel plans and hotel accommodations may call Mudbugs representative Troy Holleman at (318) 752-2847 at extension 234 to get tickets in the area reserved for ‘Kings fans (section 117 and 118) in the Bossier arena.
