Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, Miss – The two-time defending CHL champion Memphis RiverKings announced today that defenseman David Turon was recalled to the St. John's Maple Leafs.

Turon, a promising young prospect in the Toronto Maple Leafs system, arrived in Memphis in early November. Through 25 games, Turon contributed both offensively and defensively, scoring 9 points (4G, 5A) and posting a plus/minus rating of +5.

Turon started the season in St. John's, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Memphis RiverKings. He did not score a point in four games played with the Maple Leafs.

The RiverKings will step back onto the ice this evening at 7:05 pm at the DeSoto Civic Center, when they will take on the Wichita Thunder.

Fans will have the opportunity to help celebrate the birthday of "The King", Elvis Presley, at this evening's game. The first 1,500 fans through the gate will receive a specially-designed commemorative Elvis puck, which is sure to be a collector's item.

All 64 RiverKings games can be heard on Easy 680 AM, as well as worldwide via SportsJuice.com. Select RiverKings games will also be available through CHL TV, a league-wide video streaming enterprise.
