
RiverKings fall 5-2 at Bossier-Shreveport

SOUTHAVEN --- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs defeated the Memphis RiverKings 5-2 at the CenturyTel Center Friday night. The Mudbugs held a 4-0 edge entering the third period as they snapped the RiverKings' four game winning streak. Despite the loss, the RiverKings maintain their four point lead in the Northeast Division as Youngstown fell to Austin.
The Mudbugs led 1-0 entering the second period. The RiverKings' goals were a power play goal from Jason Sessa, his team high 13th of the season, and a shorthanded goal by Ryan Campbell, his third shorty of the season.
The game featured a glass delay and several delays related the 128 combined penalty minutes in what was a tense and physical game on the ice.
The RiverKings fell to 16-5-3 as they travel to Wichita tomorrow night to face the Thunder in a 7:05 game. Follow that game, the RiverKings return to Bossier Tuesday at 7:05.
