
RiverKings Drop Second Straight to Knoxville

Southaven, Miss - The Mississippi RiverKings lost game two of the series tonight against Knoxville as they fell to the Ice Bears 4-1 at the Desoto Civic Center.
The Ice Bears jumped out to an early lead as Emery Olauson buried a shot past Scott Darling 13:38 into the first period. Five minutes later, Mike Towns recovered a David Segal shot and put it to the back of the net to give the Ice Bears a 2-0 lead.
Midway through the second, Kevin Swider ripped a one-timer through the legs of Darling to increase the 'Bears' lead to three goals.
Darrell Stoddard cut the lead to two, as he hammered home a rebound to bring the score to 3-1 entering the third period.
But Knoxville would recover. David Segal put a shot past Darling at the 11:55 mark of the third period to give the Ice Bears the 4-1 win in front of 2,546 at the DCC on Teddy Bear Toss Night.
Scott Darling falls to 3-5-1 on the season after stopping 28 of 32 shots against. Jesse Kallechy (2-3-0) gets his second win in as many nights as he turned aside 39 of 40 against him.
The loss drops the RiverKings to 4-8-1 on the season. Knoxville improves to 13-4.
