
RiverKings close out road schedule with loss

Bossier City, LA --- Blair Manning scored four goals to lead the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs to a 6-3 win over the Memphis RiverKings Thursday night at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. Manning added an assist to finish with a five point night. Brad Wanchulak scored two of the RiverKings' goals to give him 8 goals in his 12 games with Memphis.
Wanchulak and Taras Foremsky gave the RiverKings a 2-0 lead with first period goals. The Mudbugs would follow with five unanswered tallies to take a 5-2 lead into the third period. Wanchulak cut the lead to two with his second of the evening at 11:17 of the third, but Milan Vodrazka's empty net goal with 1:11 left sealed win, the Mudbugs' 40th on the season.
The RiverKings finished the 12-game season series with Bossier-Shreveport 3-8-1 and finished the road portion of their schedule with an 11 game winless streak (0-8-3).
Memphis (21-36-5) closes out the regular season at home with the Austin Ice Bats on Friday night and the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday night. Both games start at 7:05
