
RiverKings Add Ticket, Game Operations Coordinators

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings have added two key positions to its front office staff as the 2010-2011 season nears. The Central Hockey League team has announced the hiring of Alyssa Perrella as new Game Operations and Marketing Coordinator, and Josh Herbert as the team's new Ticket Operations Manager.
Perrella comes to the RiverKings after her graduation from Villanova University with a Communications degree, specializing in Media Production. A native of New Jersey, Perrella worked as a Game Presentation intern with the NHL Philadelphia Flyers during her time at Villanova.
In her role with the RiverKings, Perrella will be in charge of the in arena game presentation during home games this season at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven. She will also be working on enhancing the marketing efforts of the RiverKings to the Mid-South community.
Proving you can come home, Mid-South native Herbert is back home to take on the work of serving RiverKings fans as the team's new Ticket Operations Manager.
Herbert grew up watching the Memphis RiverKings at the old Mid-South Coliseum, while playing for Memphis Youth Hockey League travel teams. He played for Houston High teams that finished second in the 2003 Tennessee championships in Nashville, followed by a state title (known as the Predators Cup) the following year.
Herbert also played club hockey while attending Middle Tennessee State University, until an injury ended his playing career.
Herbert earned a marketing degree from MTSU this past spring and interned with the Evansville Otters minor league baseball team this past summer.
Herbert is still active on the ice playing adult rec hockey, and officiating youth hockey. He also is an assistant coach for the Germantown High School hockey team.
The RiverKings are set to begin the team's 19th season in the Mid-South. Pre-season action starts Saturday, October 9th with a 6:05 PM game against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, who come back after a re-match Sunday, October 10th at 3:05 PM for the team's regular season home opener on Saturday, October 16th at 7:05 PM.
