
RiverHawks Host Final Series At Marinelli

ROCKFORD, Ill. â With only three regular season games remaining at Marinelli Field now is the time to see the Rockford RiverHawks. The âHawks will be taking on Gateway in a series that could decide the Frontier League West Division.
At some point during the home stand the 100,000th fan of the season will pass through the gate. That lucky fan will win a special prize pack that includes two tickets anywhere Trans Meridian Airlines flies.
On Wednesday, Master Spas and ESPN 1380 will give a 10-person hot tub away to one lucky fan.
Thursday is the final $1 Beer Night of the season sponsored by Miller Lite and WXRX. Get to the stadium at 4 p.m. for the Drs. vs. Lawyers charity game, sponsored by OSF/St. Anthony's, Rockford Health System, Swedish American, and Tuite & Associates.
Coaching the game will by former Major Leaguers Moose Skowron and Jim Gantner. Skowron was a six-time all-star with the White Sox and Yankees. Gantner had a 17-year major league career, all of it with the Brewers. Both former Major Leaguers will be available for autographs from 6 to 7 p.m.
For the fan appreciation night on Friday, fans coming in the gate will receive great giveaways. The RiverHawks have saved 50 items from all the promotions this season and will give them away Friday night. This includes such items as baseball cards, Little League bats, baseball caps and much, much, more.
In addition to the great giveaways, US Cellular and WREX-13 will sponsor fireworks following Friday's game. Any fan that shows a ticket stub from any RiveHawks game this season will receive general admission tickets to Friday's game for only $1.
All games begin at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6:05 for the Wedneday and Friday games. Gates open at 4 p.m. for the Drs. vs. Lawyers game on Thursday. Call (815) 964-BALL for tickets.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 12th season.
