
Rascals set franchise records in wins and attendance

With Sunday night's win over Windy City, the River City Rascals have set a franchise record for victories in a season, coupled with breaking their single season attendance record, it was announced today.
Sunday's game drew 4,137 fans, which brought their season total to 164,949 and surpassed last season's record of 163,119 with five more home dates still scheduled.
"Our fans have given us tremendous support over the years and we are thankful to them for continually coming out to see the Rascals," said Rascals General Manager Matt Jones.
The victory was also River City's 47th of the season under manager Randy Martz, which surpassed the previous single season win total of 46, which was set in 2000 and equaled in 2001 under former manager Neil Fiala.
"Randy has done an excellent job with this year's team and he has assembled a group of talented players that have worked hard all season," added Jones.
River City has five remaining home games, including August 23rd and 24th vs. Windy City and August 28-30 against Springfield/Ozark. Tickets for all remaining home games are available by calling 636-240-BATS.
