Rockford RiverHawks News Release
LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have activated infielder Carlos Luciano from the 14-day disabled list, sent pitcher Brad Schnitzer to the DL and moved pitcher Brett Scarpetta to the 60-day DL. The RiverHawks made the moves before Monday's game against Schaumburg.
Luciano had been out since July 4 because of a separated shoulder. He is hitting .362 with two home runs and 11 RBI.
Schnitzer went to the 14-day DL because of shoulder soreness. He is 0-1 with an 18.56 ERA in two starts.
Scarpetta, who has a torn ulnar collateral ligament, had no record, a 5.14 ERA and a save in four appearances. The Hononegah High School alumnus has 31 career Frontier League wins, fifth on the all-time list.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, an independent professional baseball league in its 20th season. Games are broadcast live on WNTA (100.5 FM). Advertising and season-ticket information is available by calling (815) 885-2255. Fans can also visit www.rockfordriverhawks.com.
