(Charleston-SC)- Sandy Aracena's bases loaded single with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning gave the RiverDogs a 5-4 victory Monday and a four-game sweep of Capital City in front of 2,849 fans at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.

Aracena lined a 0-1 fastball to right-center field off Bombers reliever Domingo Acosta (0-1), bringing home Elijah Dukes from third base with the game-winning run.

Charleston (16-9) has won five straight, while Capital City (15-11) has now lost five of its last six games.

Delmon Young had three hits for the RiverDogs, including an RBI single in the first inning that gave Charleston a 2-0 lead. Young doubled with two outs in the third inning, before Colt Simmons brought him home with an RBI single. Simmons extended his hitting streak to 16 games, the longest this season in the South Atlantic League.

With Charleston leading 4-1, the RiverDogs defense broke down. Shortstop Aneudi Cuevas made a pair of errors in the top of the seventh inning, leading to three Capital City runs. Ian Bladergroen's RBI single with two outs in the seventh tied the game at four.

The Bombers had their chances over the next three frames, putting the leadoff man aboard in the eighth, ninth and tenth innings. Solid relief pitching by Bob Cramer and Scott Vandermeer (3-0) closed the door. Vandermeer picked up his third win of the season and second in as many nights.

Jason Pridie led off the bottom of the tenth inning with a single to left field. After Elijah Dukes reached on a fielder's choice, Wes Bankston delivered his second hit of the night, a bloop single to center. Delmon Young walked to load the bases with one out.

With the outfield pulled in, Simmons hit a shallow fly to left for the second out, before Aracena came through with the game-winning hit moments later.

The Asheville Tourists arrive in Charleston for a four-game series beginning Wednesday night at Riley Park. Brian Bulger (2-0) is scheduled to pitch for the RiverDogs. Darric Merrell (1-3) is expected to start for Asheville on a Curves Mom's Night Out and Hats Off to Teachers Night.

Tickets for all RiverDogs home games and the 45th Annual South Atlantic League All-Star Game, June 29 at Riley Park, are available in person at the Riley Park Box Office, by phone at (843) 577-DOGS (3647) and online at riverdogs.com and etix.com.
