
Albers, Anderson and Acevedo honored

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Houston Astros Player Development Department has named Matt Albers, Josh Anderson and Freddy Acevedo as the Lexington Legends Players of the Month for the month of April.
Matt Albers was selected as the Pitcher of the Month. The Sugar Land, Texas native was brilliant in April. Albers was 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in four starts, allowing just 2 earned runs and 18 hits in 22 innings. The right-hander was also selected as the BC Powder SAL Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 23 - 29.
Josh Anderson was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Month for April. The former EKU star, hit safely in 20 of 23 games. His average of .361 led the team. Anderson was 30 for 83 with 16 stolen bases. The Eubank, Kentucky native's signature game came on April 25th against Greensboro. Anderson set a club record with a 6 for 6 day with 5 runs scored and 4 stolen bases.
Freddy Acevedo's steady play in right-field set him apart and led to him being named the Defensive player of the Month for April. Acevedo tallied 32 putouts and 3 assists in 18 games for Lexington.
