Charleston RiverDogs News Release

CHARLESTON, SC - Even though the Charleston RiverDogs have two more homestands in which to entertain its many fans, the club is already making plans for the 2013 season as it releases next year's 70-game home schedule.

The highlight of the '13 campaign in which the organization will mark their 17th season in Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park and the 20th as RiverDogs is hosting a dozen Thursday night games and 11 weekend outings.

The excitement and fanfare of Opening Night (April 11) and an Independence Day celebration (July 3) are annual top dates and great opportunities to "Be Your Own Fan" of RiverDogs baseball.

July will be the busiest month as the RiverDogs play at home on 17 dates, while April, June and August-September have 14 dates while May features 11.

The season begins with a seven-game road trip to Greenville and West Virginia, before the home opener on April 11 against Augusta. The opening homestand will have four games with the GreenJackets with three against the Rome Braves.

The '13 schedule also features nine games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays while Monday will see only seven contests.

RiverDogs fans will become familiar with Rome the most as they come to Riley Park for four series while Augusta, Hickory and Greenville visit Charleston three times.

While Savannah is the RiverDogs' closest rival in terms of mileage, the Sand Gnats come to Riley Park for only one three-game set. Also visiting Charleston for one series are Asheville, Kannapolis, Greensboro and Lexington.
