Charleston RiverDogs News Release
CHARLESTON, SC - The Charleston RiverDogs will be prepared if and when the club, currently amidst a postseason run, clinches a spot in the South Atlantic League playoffs.
General Manager Dave Echols has announced that tickets for the South Atlantic League playoffs, in which the RiverDogs could participate for the third time in four years, are now on sale.
The RiverDogs are amidst a run for the Southern Division's second-half title, and if successful, Charleston will host the first game against first-half winner Augusta, set for Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park. The RiverDogs would be on the road in Augusta for the second and third games of the best-of-three series on Sept. 7 (and 8, if necessary).
Should Charleston be victorious in the Division Series, they would advance to the best-of-five Championship Series and will be on the road for the first two contests, Sept. 10-11, and would then host all remaining games (Sept. 13-15). All playoff contests at Riley Park would have 7:05 p.m. first pitches.
"We know that we want to be in the playoffs again, and we're excited about that," said Echols. "If we're successful in reaching the playoffs, we want to have great crowds for the postseason which is why we're placing postseason tickets on sale early. We want everyone to have a chance to see us possibly play for the championship ... again."
Ticket prices for the playoffs at Riley Park are $10 for the prime box seats, $8 for the lower reserved seats and $7 for upper reserved seats.
To reserve playoff tickets and to secure additional information, please contact the RiverDogs Box Office at 843/577-DOGS (3647) or visit www.riverdogs.com.
