RiverDogs get Cummings in trade

Richmond, VA – The Richmond RiverDogs of the United Hockey League have acquired defenseman Bryan Cummings from the Missouri River Otters in exchange for rookie RW Justin Quenneville. Cummings, who made his pro debut with Adirondack last season, opened this season with the Kalamazoo Wings and played in one game.

Cummings was acquired by Missouri earlier Monday then sent to the ‘Dogs in a three-way deal involving Kalamazoo. Cummings is a former college team captain and earned all conference honors at Wisconsin-Stout. Cummings scored his first pro goal against the RiverDogs last season. Cummings had 55 of his 71 penalty minutes last season vs. the ‘Dogs. Cummings played in 38 games last season and still qualifies as a rookie under UHL rules.

· The ‘Dogs now have 19 players on the roster: Brian Goudie, J.F. Picard, J.J. Wrobel, Luch Nasato, Jami Yoder, David Brosseau, Francis Belanger, Jonathan Gagnon, Jeff Sanger, Trevor Senn, Mark Turner, Ryan McIntosh, Sean Keene, Ryan Prentice, David Hymovitz, Bryan Cummings, Mark Langdon, Frank Burgio, and Jason Bone.

· The ‘Dogs are home Friday vs. the Adirondack Frostbite at 7:35. Tickets for all RiverDogs games are available at all TicketMaster outlets and the Coliseum Box Office.
