RiverCatz win third straight with victory over Texas

PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- The Arkansas RiverCatz made it three wins in a row Friday night with a 116-107 victory over the Texas Tycoons in American Basketball action at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

The victory moved the RiverCatz to 6-3 after road wins earlier in the week over the Mississippi Miracles in Greenville and the South Alabama Bounce in Mobile.

After winning eight tin a row, the Tycoons have now lost two straight to fall to 8-3.

Kareem Reid was a rebound away from finishing with a triple double for the RiverCatz. The sparkplug point guard had 35 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds in the contest to lead Arkansas, which outscored Texas 36-26 after heading into the fourth quarter down a point.

The RiverCatz also got 19 points from newcomer Kenny Langhorne.

Jerome Rogers led seven Tycoons in double figures with a 22 points.
