Early winter storms cause two ABA game cancellations

December 1, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The ABA today announced that the Friday night game between the Arkansas Aeros and the Houston Undertakers has been cancelled due to 2-4 inches of snow on Thursday night and icy road conditions. No make-up date has been announced at this time. Sunday's game with the Monterrey Veneno is still scheduled for 405pm at the All-Star Sports Arena in Springdale.

Also, the game between the St. Louis Stunners and the Chicago Rockstars has been rescheduled due to severe weather conditions. The City of St. Louis had a terrible ice storm on Thursday night. Road conditions in SL made the travel impossible. Also, Forest Park Community College called the event off for Friday night due to the weather. The new date of the game will be posted on each team's site in the near future.

Tomorrow's game versus the Quad City Riverhawks will have no complications. The game will be at NEIU at 7pm. Doores open at 5pm. For more information, visit www.arkansasaeros.com or www.rockstarsbasketball.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
