Express names Marsha Blount head coach

Newark, NJ. ABA Newark Express co-owner Marsha Blount, who brings to the bench over 25 years of basketball knowledge as both a player and coach, has been named interim Head Coach by the team. Ms. Blount replaces Head Coach Ron Moore. In his brief tenure, Coach more has been extremely dedicated to the success of the organization and focused on the ABA commitment to provide affordable entertainment through basketball that's fun for the whole family. In making the announcement, co-owner Jacqueline Halyard stated, "We are extremely fond of Coach Moore. We're disappointed in the series of events that has led to this. We are grateful to have had his expertise and work ethic to begin our second season. We will miss his infection enthusiasm and wish him well in his future endeavors." Player liason Sandy Smith will assist Ms. Blount on the bench.
