PINE BLUFF, Ark. - The Arkansas RiverCatz got 48 points and 12 assists from Kareem Reid on their way to a 142-118 victory Wednesday night over the South Alabama Bounce in an American Basketball Association contest played at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
The No. 17-rated RiverCatz (12-7) raced out to a 13-point lead after the first quarter behind the play of Reid, Festus Hawkins and Jeremy Bell who was recently named to this weekend's ABA All-Star contest in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Reid finished the night shooting 16 of 28 from the field, including 5 of 11 from behind the three-point stripe. After his 48, the RiverCatz were led by Bell's 27, Garrett Richardson's 21 and Hawkins' 19.

The RiverCatz are off until after the All-Star break when they travel to Springdale on Feb. 2 to meet the No. 1-rated Arkansas Aeros.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
