Mike Cirillo, Dean Stork, and Damon Whitten each tallied a goal and an assist as the Arkansas RiverBlades defeated the Louisiana IceGators 5-2 Friday at Alltel Arena.

Scott Fankhouser made 33 saves to earn the win, his 5th as a RiverBlade.

Dean Stork opened up the scoring at 3:35, tallying his 12th of the season assisted by Mike Cirillo and Terry Marchant.

Then, exactly six minutes later at 9:35, the IceGators evened the score, as Casey Kesselring got his 2nd of the year from Kenny Corupe just as their power-play expired.

The Blades would then regain the lead at the 12:58 mark, as Mike Cirillo was credited with the goal. Damon Whitten shot the puck off of the post, and it bounced down in front of Cirillo, who just managed to guide the puck across the line for the goal. Dean Stork also had a helper on the play.

In the second, Mike Sandbeck extended the Blades lead to 2, notching his 13th goal from Ryan Coole at 3:57.

However, Louisiana came right back at 5:37 as Andrew Proskurnicki scored his 1st of the season assisted by Nathan Rempel and Shawn McNeil on the power-play.

Jason Bermingham then pushed the Blades lead back to two with his 32nd tally of the campaign, assisted by Buddy Smith and Dean Stock.

Then, as 12:19, Louisiana was looking to capitalize on the power-play, when Damon Whitten won a foot race to the puck, and then beat Kyle Kettles for the short-handed goal to seal the deal for Arkansas.

Louisiana outshot Arkansas 35-33 for the game, and the IceGators were 1-for-7 on the power-play. The RiverBlades were 2-for-7 with the man advantage.
