
River Riders Unable to Complete Sweep, Lose to Flyboys 6-1

Elizabethton River Riders News Release
ELIZABETHTON, TN - The Elizabethton River Riders lost to the Greeneville Flyboys 6-1 Friday night at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark. Designated hitter Logan Sanders (Pima) finished the night 2-for-3 with an RBI.
The Greeneville Flyboys (8-5) scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning. River Riders (6-7) starter RHP Manuel Rodriguez gave up back-to-back-to-back hits before walking in one run. He was replaced by Casey Keller (Embry-Riddle) with the bases loaded and no outs. Keller allowed four runs to score and was responsible for one.
Greeneville's RHP Cameron Wagoner (Eastern Michigan) threw four scoreless innings in relief of starting RHP Luke Russo (Eastern Michigan).
Sanders broke up Greeneville's no-hit bid in the bottom of the sixth with a one-out single to left field.
River Rider third baseman Reagan Guthrie (Regis) scored in the bottom of the eighth on Sanders' second hit of the night.
The Flyboys recorded their sixth and final run in the top of the ninth after an unearned run was scored on RHP Jordan Leasure.
The River Rider will stay at home over the weekend and host the Bristol State Liners (7-5). Tomorrow the River Riders will have a t-shirt giveaway presented by Northeast Community Credit Union.
