River Otters Re-Sign Goaltender Reiter

St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League agreed to terms with goaltender Kevin Reiter. The Pittsburgh-native finished third in the UHL last season with five shutouts.

"We're excited to have Kevin back this season," River Otters Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said. "He was terrific in the playoffs last season and gave our team a chance to win every night. We have the utmost confidence in his ability, and we are looking for him to have an increased role during the upcoming season."

Reiter, 23, went 19-11-3 in his first professional season for the River Otters with a 2.65 goals-against-average, a .907 save percentage, and five shutouts. He tied the team's regular-season franchise record with 52 saves on April 9, 2004 against the Kalamazoo Wings.

Reiter excelled in the playoffs, with a 2.15 goals-against-average and a stellar .942 save percentage. He made 65 saves in the River Otters double-overtime victory against Fort Wayne in Game Five of the Colonial Cup Playoffs First Round.
