Rockford IceHogs News Release
Rockford, Ill.- The much anticipated world premiere of "RoadHogs: The Other Half of the Season" is set for Monday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. at The 10th Inning in Rockford. The documentary, produced by seven11 Productions, features the 2004-05 Rockford IceHogs, a United Hockey League club, in an approximately two-hour long feature that gives hockey fans a look at the game like they've never seen before.
The world premiere will be the first opportunity for fans to see the film. The film will follow the IceHogs on nine of their 2004-05 road games. Games featured on the film include the UHL debut for Motor City Mechanics Chris Chelios, the annual pink ice game in Kalamazoo against the Wings plus several others. Unique aspects to the movie include views in the lockerroom and on the team bus, plus sounds of the game from players, coaches, and referees wearing a wireless microphone during the game.
"Editing the movie has taken longer than I anticipated simply because of the amount of footage and information to sift through is enormous," said Chris Toltzman, director and co-producer of 'RoadHogs'. "However, the film is looking better than I have hoped, so if fans remain patient, they will be very pleased with the end result."
The World Premiere will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at The 10th Inning with a brief press conference followed by the first public showing of the documentary. The 10th Inning is located at 5825 East Riverside Boulevard in Rockford. There is no admission charge for the world premiere, but children under-18 are encouraged to be accompanied by an adult as the documentary does contain some explicit language. The showing is the only scheduled public showing of the film.
After the premiere party on August 29th the movie will be sent out for replication. Hundreds of hockey fans from around the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and France have already pre-purchased the film, and hockey fans who want one of the first copies can pre-order the film right from the movie's web site, www.roadhogsthemovie.com. Expect 2-3 weeks for delivery from the finalized date of replication.
