River Otters acquire defenseman John Glavota

St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League have acquired defenseman John Glavota from the Flint Generals in exchange for forward Joe Seroski. The River Otters also acquired center Brent Sullivan in the trade and sent him to the Port Huron Flags for future considerations. In addition, the River Otters signed defenseman Ben White to a professional try-out contract.

Glavota, 29, scored two goals and dished out 11 assists in 50 games so far this season with Flint. The 6'1', 205-pound defenseman registered three goals and six assists during the 2003-04 season for the Rockford IceHogs. He played three games with the River Otters in 2000-01.

White, 31, played three seasons with the River Otters from 2001-04, scoring three goals and six assists in 83 games. His most productive professional season came in 1998-99 with Fort Worth (CHL) when he registered three goals, 14 assists, and 110 penalty minutes in 39 games.
