ROANOKE, VA - Mike Oliveira's hat trick and four point night, along with Dan Vandermeer's three point game (2 goals, 1 assist, +5) and another magnificent night in nets for Mike D'Alessandro (42 saves) was just a few key bulletpoints in the RiverDogs 8-1 domination over state rivals Roanoke Valley. The RiverDogs and Vipers ended the first period with Richmond in front 2-1 but from that point on it was all RiverDogs. The RiverDogs also got markers from Evgeny Lazarev, John DiPace (PP) and a shorthanded tally from Joey Bastien. Michael Wiggins scored the Vipers lone goal. The win against the Vipers was the team's 7th in a row against their rivals, overall 9-2-0. The RiverDogs continue their unbeaten streak, which now stands at 8 games (6-0-2). In their last 15 contests, the RiverDogs have gone 12-1-2 and have not lost in regulation since Friday, January 27th when the team lost 4-3 at the hands of the Motor City Mechanics.
