PLAYER SPOTLIGHT The Lowey Twins (Jason & Josh)

It's not often that brothers, twin brothers at that, get to play the same professional sport. It's really rare to see twin brothers play professionally for the SAME TEAM! That's exactly what the River City Rascals have this season in twin brothers Jason (#4) and Josh (#12) Lowey. The Lowey twins both have played integral roles in the Rascals first place start in Frontier League play. "They've both been great", said Rascals Manager Chad Parker. "Essentially, we have the same pitcher twice, which has worked to our advantage thus far." To date, Jason Lowey has a 1.93 ERA while allowing batters to only hit .235 against in 9 1/3 innings of relief work with a 12 K's compared to only 2 BB.. Josh Lowey, who has recently been converted to a starter (starting tonight against the Evansville Otters), has a 2.12 ERA while allowing only four earned runs in 17 innings of work. You can listen to Josh and the Rascals tonight by tuning in to 590 The Fan KFNS or listen online at www.rivercityrascals.com.
