
River Cats Open Season with Eight-Game Homestand

The Sacramento River Cats open the 2015 season at home along the Sacramento River at Raley Field this Thursday, April 9. The season will get underway with an eight-game homestand, including a four-game series versus the visiting Salt Lake Bees and another with the defending Pacific Southern Division Champion Las Vegas 51s. The River Cats homestand will be headlined by Opening Day on Thursday, April 9, two fireworks shows, and Jackie Robinson Day on Wednesday, April 15.
The homestand also marks the first time that the Sacramento River Cats will take the field at home as an affiliate of the World Champion San Francisco Giants. Members of the 2014 Championship roster, including hometown catcher Andrew Susac, are expected to take the field Opening Night against the Bees.
Thursday, April 9 - River Cats vs. Salt Lake Bees
- Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 5:00 p.m.
- Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast on River Cats affiliate ESPN 1320.
- Thunderstix Giveaway : Be one of the first 7,500 fans through the gates at Raley Field and get a pair of Thunderstix courtesy of SuperCuts.
- Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday: Get down to Raley Field on Thursdays for great beer specials! All 12-oz Miller and Miller Lite's are just $2, and 24-oz are $4.
- First Pitch: Giants Hall of Famer and seven-time All-Star Orlando Cepeda will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
