River Cats Open Season with Eight-Game Homestand

The Sacramento River Cats open the 2015 season at home along the Sacramento River at Raley Field this Thursday, April 9. The season will get underway with an eight-game homestand, including a four-game series versus the visiting Salt Lake Bees and another with the defending Pacific Southern Division Champion Las Vegas 51s. The River Cats homestand will be headlined by Opening Day on Thursday, April 9, two fireworks shows, and Jackie Robinson Day on Wednesday, April 15.

The homestand also marks the first time that the Sacramento River Cats will take the field at home as an affiliate of the World Champion San Francisco Giants. Members of the 2014 Championship roster, including hometown catcher Andrew Susac, are expected to take the field Opening Night against the Bees.

Thursday, April 9 - River Cats vs. Salt Lake Bees

- Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 5:00 p.m.

- Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast on River Cats affiliate ESPN 1320.

- Thunderstix Giveaway : Be one of the first 7,500 fans through the gates at Raley Field and get a pair of Thunderstix courtesy of SuperCuts.

- Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday: Get down to Raley Field on Thursdays for great beer specials! All 12-oz Miller and Miller Lite's are just $2, and 24-oz are $4.

- First Pitch: Giants Hall of Famer and seven-time All-Star Orlando Cepeda will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Friday, April 10 - River Cats vs. Salt Lake Bees

- Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 6:00 p.m.

- Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast on River Cats affiliate ESPN 1320.

- Friday Night Fireworks: Enjoy fireworks at every Friday night home game at Raley Field.

- Micke Grove Zoo Night: Join our partners of the night, Micke Grove Zoo.

- Thunderstix Giveaway: Be one of the first 7,500 fans through the gates at Raley Field and get a pair of Thunderstix courtesy of Golden1 Credit Union.

Saturday, April 11 - River Cats vs. Salt Lake Bees

- Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 6:00 p.m.

- Tour de Cat Bicycle Night: Enjoy a fun ride along the river finishing with a lap on Raley Field presented by Placer Land Trust.

- Sutter Health Fireworks: Enjoy fireworks after every Saturday game at Raley Field, courtesy of Sutter Health.

Sunday, April 12 - River Cats vs. Salt Lake Bees

- Game Time: First pitch is at 1:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 12:00 p.m.

- Broadcast: Today's game will be broadcast on River Cats affiliate ESPN 1320.

- Art Day: Join the River Cats and the Regional Water Authority in honoring our local artists of all ages.

- K-LOVE Sunday Funday: Features pregame player autographs, face painters, balloon artists, and kids run the bases after every game.

Monday, April 13 - River Cats vs. Las Vegas 51s

- Game Time: First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Raley Field gates will open to all fans at 6:00 p.m.

- Broadcast: Tonight's game will be broadcast on River Cats affiliate ESPN 1320.

- Baseball Bingo Monday: Join us at Raley Field every Monday for Baseball Bingo, brought to you by Cache Creek Casino Resort. Every play on the field corresponds to a square on your bingo card.

Tuesday, April 14 - River Cats vs. Las Vegas 51s

- Jackie Robinson Day: Join the River Cats at Raley Field as we honor a true pioneer, Jackie Robinson.

- AAA School Day: Take the whole class out to the ballgame to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with Dinger and the River Cats presented by Wear it California!
