Aberdeen IronBirds News Release
Aberdeen, MD- The Aberdeen IronBirds welcome all past and current members of the armed forces to Ripken Stadium on Tuesday, August 28th. All branches of the service will be honored during pre-game ceremonies and a group of new Army soldiers will receive their dog tags before the stadium crowd. Games and promotions will feature members of the military throughout the night.
Representatives from Aberdeen Proving Ground will be displaying the Army's HMMWV, M-ATV, Stryker and Buffalo assault vehicles in the parking lot. Branches will also have information booths set up on the concourse. Fans are encouraged to wear clothing honoring their favorite branch or unit.
On Tuesday night at Ripken Stadium, we're celebrating the heroes, not of balls and strikes, but of stars and stripes.
