
Riley Park Announced as Finalist for "The Beacon" Award at Chamber's 2015 Honors Night

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the 2015 Honors Night awards. The finalists represent business and community leaders with exemplary commitment to the region's economic development and quality of life.
Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park has been named one of the three finalists for "The Beacon" award. The Beacon Award recognizes a project or structure that elevated aesthetics and improves quality of life for the region. The home of the Charleston RiverDogs and The Citadel Bulldogs baseball team has been named a finalist for the award, along with Park Circle and Trident Technical College, Nursing and Science Building.
"We're grateful that The Joe has been named one of the finalists for The Beacon award," said RiverDogs General Manager Dave Echols. "The RiverDogs, in conjunction with the City of Charleston and The Citadel, pride themselves on providing the community with a beautiful, well-maintained place to come and have a good time with their friends and family."
Other awards included in the Chamber's Honors Night include: The Trailblazer, The Rock Star, The Pillar, The Milestone, The One to Watch, and the prestigious Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award.
The winner of each award will be announced at the Chamber's annual Honors Night award ceremony and reception on Thursday, September 10 before an audience of business and community leaders and elected officials. The event will be held at the Francis Marion Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m.
