Riders Re-Sign Quarterback Zach Collaros

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed international free-agent quarterback Zach Collaros to a one-year contract.

Collaros (6'0 - 219) will return to the Riders for his second consecutive season after originally being acquired by the team in a January, 2018 trade.

Last year, the 30-year-old completed 234 of 382 pass attempts (61.3%) for 2,999 yards and nine touchdowns, registering 10 wins in 14 starts.

A veteran of seven CFL seasons, Collaros spent his first two years with the Toronto Argonauts, before signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a January, 2014 as a free agent.

Over four seasons with the Ti-Cats, Collaros completed 930 of 1,396 passes (66.6%) for 11,342 yards and 66 touchdowns in starting 43 of 53 regular-season games. He also started two playoff games and the 2014 Grey Cup.

Collaros was named the Tiger-Cats' nominee as Most Outstanding Player in 2014 and 2015.

He won his first career Grey Cup in 2012 as a backup quarterback with Toronto.
