
Riders Foundation Serves Community Throughout July

FRISCO, Texas - The RoughRiders Foundation was extremely busy during the month of July, with volunteers from the team and front office participating in a multitude of activities throughout the community.
"Community involvement is such an important value to this organization and I'm extremely proud of the way our players and staff stepped up to the plate last month," said Breon Dennis, Executive Director of the RoughRiders Foundation. "We are fortunate to partner with so many great non-profits in North Texas and help them achieve their goals."
In total, Riders player and staff contributed more than 200 volunteer hours throughout the month with the following organizations:
* DFW National Cemetery (July 2): Riders pitcher Tyler Davis and numerous staff members helped clean headstones throughout the cemetery.
* Adopt a Street litter control (July 9): Volunteers helped collect more than 150 pounds of litter from roads near Dr Pepper Ballpark.
* SPCA (July 12): Members of the front office staff assisted in cleaning cat cages throughout the facility.
* Children's Medical Center visit (July 13): Various Riders players and staff members spent the morning at Children's Medical Center in Dallas interacting with the kids, including signing autographs and taking photos.
* Becky's Hope Horse Rescue (July 16): Representatives from the Riders front office staff helped clean around the facility and mucked horse stalls.
* Seven Loaves Pantry (July 20): Riders staff members helped restock the storehouse, among other tasks.
* Redbud House (July 24): Front office staff helped residents decorate wheelchairs and took part in other activities with them as well.
* Cornerstone Ranch (July 26): Riders volunteers spent their day helping residents with painting projects, exercise and more.
* Boys and Girls Club (July 30): Riders staff spent the day playing with local kids at the Boys & Girls Club.
In addition to volunteering with various organizations throughout the community, the RoughRiders Foundation also hosted a plethora of kids at Dr Pepper Ballpark throughout the month for the Riders Baseball Academy.
