'Riders Drop Series Finale

Frisco only managed one run on Sunday evening, falling to the Corpus Christi Hooks, 2-1, at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

Leading 1-0 in the seventh inning, 'Riders reliever Ben Snyder (2-3, 3.13) gave up a solo home run to Hooks first baseman Koby Clemens to tie the score. He then allowed the go-ahead run in the eighth inning and took the loss for Frisco.

Michael Schlact (0-0, 0.90) made his home debut for Frisco, pitching six scoreless innings while only giving up one hit. He walked one and struck out four.

Fernando Abad (3-3, 2.78) picked up the win for the Hooks, allowing just one hit while striking out five.

The 'Riders (53-38) will now head out on the road for a four-game series with San Antonio. RHP Tanner Roark (8-4, 4.45) will be on the mound for Frisco, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
