JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a of transaction that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to tonight's games against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at 5:35 p.m. at Bragan Field.
Shortstop J.T. Riddle has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Riddle in 32 games played for the Suns hit .299 with four home runs and 17 RBI. This is the first call-up to the Triple-A level in Riddle's career.
The Suns roster now stands at 24 active players, and a revised roster is attached.
The Suns and Wahoos will continue their series Wednesday night with a first pitch set for the suspended game for 5:35 p.m. ET with game two of the day slated to begin 30 minutes after the completion of the opener. The Suns will send out Matt Tomshaw (5-8, 4.25 ERA) while the Wahoos will send left-hander Wandy Peralta (6-7, 5.71 ERA) to the hill in the nightcap.
