Generals to Host Labor Day Event at the Ballpark

Jackson, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals in conjunction with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Fire Department will be hosting a free Labor Day Event at The Ballpark on Monday, September 7 benefitting the Survive Alive House in Jackson. The event features a Cornhole Tournament, live music, free inflatables, concessions and fireworks at 8 pm!

"The Generals are very excited to team up with the City of Jackson and the Jackson Fire Department on this Labor Day event," Jackson General Manager Jason Compton said. We hope to make this an annual event with the last big Fireworks Show of the year."

Admission to the event is free! Gates open at 3 pm, with music starting at 4 pm. Beyond Blame, Genre Band and the Pamela K Ward Band will kick off the concert with the Kimberlie Helton Band taking the stage last at 7 pm.

Fans will have the opportunity to donate to the city's Survive Alive House through both the Dunk Tank and a Cornhole Tournament. Entry into the tourney is just a $10 donation, with registration ending at 5 pm! The Survive Alive House is a fire simulation house that mimics different hazards that people may not be aware of in their homes.

Fireworks will follow the events at 8 pm CT! Concession stands will be open and the kids will be able to enjoy free inflatables on the field! The event is the same day as Jackson's last game of the regular season in Chattanooga.

"It will be a great time with a wonderful music lineup. We hope to spend Labor Day with a bunch of people from Jackson and all of West Tennessee," Compton said.
