TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Bowie Baysox will meet in the opener of a four-game series...A pair of home runs - a two-out, three-run shot from Tim Pahuta in the fourth inning and a two-run blast from Tyler Moore in the sixth - off of Flying Squirrels' right-hander Daryl Maday helped lift the Harrisburg Senators to a 6-3 win in the series finale on Monday afternoon at The Diamond.

SHINING STARS: Four of the five Flying Squirrels who participated in the Eastern League All-Star Game in Manchester, NH, last night made contributions in the West's 8-3 win over the East...Outfielder Roger Kieschnick, the starting right fielder for the West, went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored...The 24-year-old also threw out Binghamton's Josh Satin at home...Second baseman Charlie Culberson went 2-for-2 with a RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base...Catcher Johnny Monell went 1-for-2 with a RBI and a run scored...Right-hander Justin Fitzgerald worked a perfect third inning, striking out one of the three batters he faced...Left-hander Eric Surkamp was ineligible to participate in the contest after starting for the Flying Squirrels on Sunday against Harrisburg.
SOCKED IN BOWIE: The Flying Squirrels enter tonight's series-opener in Bowie with a 2-7 mark at Prince George's Stadium...Eight of the previous nine games played between the two teams in Bowie have been decided by three runs or less including all seven Richmond losses...Five of the Flying Squirrels seven losses to the Baysox at Prince George's Stadium have been by one run and the club has had a lead in six of the seven defeats...Overall, Richmond is 6-12 against Bowie this season...Last season, the Flying Squirrels went 16-13 against the Baysox including a 7-7 mark at Prince George's Stadium.
MO-MENTUM: Catcher Johnny Monell is batting .381 (16-for-42) with a double, two home runs, nine RBIs, and nine runs scored over his last 16 games...He has walked 10 times and has struck out eight times over that span...The 25-year-old has raised his batting average from .224 to .250 over his last 16 contests...Monell is 5-for-12 (.417) with runners in scoring position over that stretch with seven RBIs.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Flying Squirrels today begin a stretch where they will be playing 14 of their next 20 games on the road...The club recently completed a stretch where it played 19 out of 26 games at home, going 16-10 overall including an 13-6 mark at home...The club is 32-17 overall at home and is batting .261 in 49 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.57 runs per game at home (224R/49G)...Overall, the club is 15-24 on the road, and is batting .207 and averaging 3.33 runs per game (130R/39G) in 39 road contests.
PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 3.03 ERA through 88 games and has allowed a league-low 311 runs...Richmond's pitching staff has allowed two runs or less in 34 of its 88 games (39%)...Starting pitching has allowed three runs or less in 64 of the team's 88 games (73%) and the club is 42-22 in those contests...The club's 3.03 ERA is the lowest among all of the full-season MiLB teams.
