TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Reading Phillies will meet in the finale of a three-game series...After dropping the completion of the suspended game 9-4, the Flying Squirrels scored three runs in the first inning en route to a 6-2 win in game two of the series on Tuesday night at The Diamond.

STARTING AT THE TOP: The top three batters in the Flying Squirrels order went a combined 9-for-14 with a RBI and four runs scored in last night's 6-2 win over the Phillies...Second baseman Nick Noonan notched his fourth three-hit game of the season, going 3-for-5 with a run scored...Shortstop Ryan Lormand collected his fifth three-hit game of the season after a 3-for-5 performance that included a run scored...Right fielder Thomas Neal went 3-for-4 with a walk, RBI, and two runs scored, his eighth game with three hits or more...In the series opener, the top three hitters in Richmond's line up (Ford, Lormand, Boyer, and Neal) went a combined 0-for-11 with two walks and a run scored.

FIRST FOR EVERYTHING: Right-hander Mitch Lively picked up his first professional hit with an infield single in the bottom of the eighth inning...Entering the game he was 0-for-2 with two strikeouts and a sacrifice bunt in three career plate appearances...Super utility man Skyler Stromsmoe made his professional pitching debut in the completion of Monday night's suspended contest...The 26-year-old worked a perfect ninth inning recording a ground out and two fly outs.

THE WEATHER MAN: Third baseman Conor Gillaspie has hits in 11 of his last 12 games including a season-long seven-game hit streak (7/11-7/22)...In 22 games this month, he is hitting .397 (29-for-73); however, only five of his 29 hits in July have gone for extra bases (three doubles and two triples)...He has walked nine times and has struck out eight times so far this month.

UNBUCKLING THE BELT: In 98 games combined between Advanced-A San Jose and Double-A Richmond, first baseman Brandon Belt leads all of minor league baseball in batting average (.379) and on-base percentage (.476) and is third in slugging percentage (.647) and is fifth in hits (133)...The 22-year-old has reached base safely in each of his last 20 games.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 129 double plays in 103 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The Flying Squirrels have not gone more than three games without a double play this season...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: Left-hander Clayton Tanner won for the third consecutive start for the first time this season...Prior to his recent string, the 22-year-old had not won in back-to-back starts this season...It is the first time he has won in three straight starts since 8/21/09-9/1/09 while with Advanced-A San Jose...He has allowed two runs or less in each of his last four starts.
