
Richard Bleier Back with Frisco

FRISCO, TEXAS (MAY 13, 2013) - The Frisco RoughRiders have received left-handed pitcher Richard Bleier from Triple-A Round Rock. Additionally, left-handed pitcher Martin Perez, who had been with the RoughRiders on a Major League rehab assignment, has been activated from the 15-day disabled list and optioned to Frisco.
Bleier, 26, appeared eight games with the Express, starting twice. He posted a 1-1 record with a 3.79 ERA since coming off the 7-day disabled list on April 13. In 19 innings, the left-hander allowed 23 hits, struck out eight and walked seven batters.
This will be the Davie, Florida native's fourth season with the RoughRiders. He spent all of the 2010, 2011 and 2012 seasons with the club. Last season, Bleier went 0-2 in 22 appearances with a 3.94 ERA against the Texas League.
Perez made two rehab starts with the RoughRiders after breaking his left wrist in spring training. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed nine runs (all earned) on 14 hits and one home run with two walks and two strikeouts.
Frisco's roster has reached the Texas League limit of 25 active players.
After completing their series with Corpus Christi on Sunday afternoon, the RoughRiders return home to begin a four-game set with the Midland RockHounds tonight at 7:00 pm.
