RHP Wes Parsons Promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett

JACKSON, TN - The Atlanta Braves have announced the following roster moves that affect the Mississippi Braves roster. RHP Wes Parsons has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett and RHP Andres Santiago has been transferred back to Mississippi from Gwinnett.

Parsons, 25, leaves the M-Braves after back-to-back shutout performances on May 5 at Pensacola and May 10 vs. Mobile. The Clarksville, TN native hadn't allowed a run over his last 14.0 IP. In eight games, seven starts, he was 1-2 with a league-best 1.23 ERA, 10 walks and 28 strikeouts over 29.1 IP. The opposition was batting just .216 against Parsons.

Parsons is part of a starting rotation that has posted a 2.59 ERA through 11 games in the month of May with six quality starts.

Santiago, 28, has appeared in six games with Triple-A Gwinnett this season, with four of his appearances being starts. Santiago is 1-2 with a 3.49 ERA. After multiple stints with the M-Braves in 2018, Santiago has appeared in two games, one start and is 0-0 with a 1.13 ERA.

The Mississippi Braves active roster stands at 25 with 6 on the Disabled List.
