Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster move affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- RHP Terance Marin signed from independent Evansville (Frontier League), added to Winston-Salem roster
Originally signed by Chicago as a non-drafted free agent in 2010, Marin was in the system until April 9 when he was released from the Dash's roster. Less than three months later, Marin is back in the system and in the Dash's rotation. He will start for Winston in its middle match against Salem on Friday.
The Newman, Calif., native signed with the Evansville Otters of the independent Frontier League shortly after his release from the White Sox system, and he dominated to the tune of a 4-1 record and a 2.05 earned run average in six starts. He took a no-hitter into the fifth inning in three of those outings.
With this move, which officially took place Thursday night, Winston-Salem's roster now stands at 25, the Carolina League maximum.
