HUNTSVILLE, ALA. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. LHP Nick Hill has been placed on the 7-day DL and RHP Matt Brazis has been added from Hi-A High Desert. The moves are made prior to tonight's 6:30 p.m. game at Huntsville. Brazis (BRAY-zus) is active and will wear jersey #17 tonight.

Brazis, 24, appeared in 23 games for High Desert going 3-0, with a 2.97 ERA (13ER/39.1IP) with 50 strikeouts and only 8 walks. Brazis made 42 relief appearances with High Desert in 2013 and struck out season-high 5 batters in back-to-back games, May 1 at Lake Elsinore and May 4 vs. Lancaster (4.1 IP). Brazis graduated from Tampa Jesuit (FL) High School in May, 2008 and graduated from Boston College in May, 2012.

Hill, 25, 30, has been placed on the disabled list. He was also placed on the DL on June 7th. Hill has appeared in 9 games for the Generals this season posting a 1-1 record and a 7.50 ERA in 12.0 IP. Prior to joining the Generals this season Hill was 0-2 with a 9.90 ERA in 11 games, 1 start for Triple-A Tacoma. Hill was drafted by the Mariners in the 7th round of the 2007 draft out of Army. He resides in Bluff City, TN and prepped at Sullivan East in East Tennessee. .

The Generals roster stands at 25 active players with 13 pitchers, 12 position players, 1 restricted and 3 on the disabled list.
