RHP Jose Ruiz promoted to Double-A Birmingham

Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- RHP Jose Ruiz promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem
- RHP Yelmison Peralta promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis
Ruiz thrived with the Dash, posting a 2.70 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 10 outings (13.1 IP). Over his last seven outings with Winston-Salem, the right-hander had combined to throw 9.1 scoreless frames. Despite appearing in one game with the San Diego Padres last season, this will be Ruiz's first promotion to the Double-A level.
Peralta joins Winston-Salem's roster for the third consecutive season. Last year, 23-year-old made 19 appearances with the Dash, posting a 0-2 record with a 4.97 ERA. The righty began the 2018 season with the Intimidators, going 1-0 with a 2.51 ERA in eight appearances. Peralta was signed by the White Sox as an international free agent in 2012.
The Dash's roster remains at the Carolina League maximum of 25 players, with three on the disabled list.
