RHP David Bromberg to Join Red Wings, Start Tomorrow's Game at Charlotte

RHP David Bromberg has been transferred to Rochester from Double-A New Britain, and he will start tomorrow's series opener at Charlotte (White Sox).

Bromberg went 1-1 with a 3.53 ERA in 11 games (6 starts) with New Britain. The 24-year-old went 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA (5 ER/31.2 IP) as a starter and 0-0 with a 20.25 ERA (9 ER/4.0 IP) as a reliever. He has been in the Rock Cats' starting rotation since April 30.

Bromberg, who was selected by the Twins in the 32nd round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft, made 9 starts for the Red Wings in 2010, going 1-4 with a 3.98 ERA. He missed the majority of the 2011 season with a fractured right forearm.
