Hens Fall 7-4 to Pawtucket

Starter Thad Weber surrendered four home runs as the Hens fell 7-4 to Pawtucket on Sunday night.

The Hens scored in the first inning on a Brad Eldred sacrifice fly to take an early 1-0 lead, but Pawtucket responded with 3 homers in the bottom of the inning for a 3-1 lead. Pedro Ciriaco and Nate Spears went back-to-back to start off the game, and Lars Anderson hit one deep one batter later. Anderson hit another one in the sixth off Weber.

The Hens tied the game up at 4-4 in the sixth on an RBI groundout by Argenis Diaz and a Justin Henry RBI single. Anderson's homer in the bottom of the inning gave Pawtucket the lead again, and they added two more in the eighth to make it 7-4.

Jeff Frazier lead the Hens offensively going 4-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.

The Hens travel to Rochester tomorrow to begin a four game series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Andy Oliver is scheduled to start for the Hens and first pitch is at 4:05 p.m.

Game Notes

Matt Young extended his hit streak to four with a single.

Thad Weber had only given up four homers on the season prior to today's game.

Brad Eldred leads the league with 53 RBIs.
