RHP Atkins to Bowie, RHP Ryohei Tanaka to Aberdeen

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves today. RHP Atkins was transferred to Bowie from Class Single-A Frederick and RHP Ryohei Tanaka was transferred to Single-A Aberdeen. With the moves, the Baysox have 24 active players on their 24-man roster.

Atkins made two starts for the Frederick Keys this season, going 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 9.0 innings pitched. Atkins appeared in five games for the Chicago Cubs last season, going 0-0 with a 6.30 ERA with 10 strikeouts in 10.0 innings pitched. Atkins is scheduled to start Friday night's game for Bowie.

Tanaka is 0-0 with a 3.09 ERA in six relief appearances for Bowie this season. The right-hander has walked three and struck out 11 batters in 10.2 innings of work.
