The Chicago Cubs have made the following roster moves which impact the Myrtle Beach Pelicans roster:

RHP Alexander Vargas has been promoted to Double-A Tennessee from Myrtle Beach

RHP Erling Moreno has been activated from the 7-day Injured List

Moreno made nine appearances, eight starts, before going on the 7-day Injured List on June 3. Before missing the last 23 games, Moreno went 4-5 with a 6.69 ERA. Over his last four starts, Moreno went 3-1 with a 2.82 ERA after struggling in his first few outings. In 2018 with South Bend, he went 2-3 with a 3.86 ERA over 12 games, 11 starts. The Cartagena, Columbia native was signed by the Cubs in 2013.

Moreno will wear No. 50. The Pelicans roster now sits at 25 active players with five players on the Injured List.
