Rhinos Take Corpus Christi 3-2 in Game 1 of Season Opener

The El Paso Rhinos are on the road this week where they face the Corpus Christi Ice Rays for the first game of the season. The IceRays brought an aggressive early game to the ice as Oliver Stumpel bags the first goal of the night just two minutes into the first period. Michael Casey managed to sneak in another goal for the IceRays in the final minute of the period. Heading into the second period the IceRays would lead 2-0 over the Rhinos, but this was not to last. Tristan Kimmen puts the Rhinos on the board with a goal halfway through the second period, followed a few minutes later by Donavan O'Neil to tie the game at 2-2 going into the third. With the score now neck and neck both teams fought their hardest to secure the victory. Ultimately it would be Jacob Zwirecki of the Rhinos who would snatch victory from the stalemate, scoring one last time for the Rhinos. The night ended with the El Paso Rhinos up 3-2 over the Corpus Christi IceRays,
