Reynolds Named UHL Player of the Week

FLINT, MI- The United Hockey League announced today that Flint Generals Right Wing Bobby Reynolds has been named Sher-Wood Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 4, 2004. Reynolds won the honor after posting 10-points (6g, 4a) and a +5 rating in the Generals four games last week. Reynolds began the week with an assist in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to Adirondack. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Reynolds went on a one-man tear beginning with a goal and two assists in the General's 5-2 win over Missouri, and then notched the team's first hat trick in the General's 4-0 clean sheet over the Elmira Jackals. In Sunday's 6-2 win over Missouri, Reynolds collected his third straight three-point outing (2g, 1a). In the four games, Bobby scored three power play goals, two shorthanded goals and is riding a six-game point-scoring streak.

The Flint Generals take their traveling road show for a long seven game stretch, beginning tonight against the Adirondack Ice Hawks. The team returns to the Perani's Hockey World Arena & Event Center on Friday, January 23 when the Kalamazoo Wings make their first appearance.
