Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The K-Wings will try to continue their winning ways as they head into the McMorran Place Arena and battle the Port Huron Beacons. Kalamazoo is riding a five game unbeaten streak and a four game road winning streak to Port Huron; however, the K-Wings will be looking for their first victory this season against the Beacons. The K-Wings are 0-2-0 against the Beacons this year, with both previous losses occurring at the McMorran Place Arena. Tonight will be the third on nine meetings between the teams this season and the third of five in Port Huron.
The Beacons enter tonight in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and just two points behind Elmira for fourth place. Port Huron is coming off a big 5-1 victory over Quad City last Sunday. The Beacons are 5-3-2 in the last 10 games. Port Huron has saved their best hockey for home, as they are 10-6-0 at the McMorran Place Arena this season. The Beacons will be without the services of Kory Cooper, who is currently on the 7 day injured reserved list. In Cooper's absence, Kalamazoo will get to see former K-Wing Stu Dunn.
